PA HB771 – A *Very* Bad Voter ID Bill. Call your House Member. Tell Them to Vote “No.”

HB771 – went through state government on May 6. It is an absolute mess! Please help to get the word out that this bill is NOT voter ID. Call your representative today!

Why the Bill is NOT Voter ID

  1. It is for in-person voting only. Therefore, it does nothing to protect the mail-in vote.
  2. Identity verification is useless. You can use a piece of mail as ID, or even have someone in the precinct vouch for you being who you say you are, even that you are a legal, eligible voter – and a resident.

Please call your House rep today and ask them to vote NO on HB771!

Don’t let them tell you that this is a good bill. Many of our representatives will try to pass it along as a win and use it for horse trading budget bills. (For example, a recreational marijuana bill hit today also. They may seek to “trade” recreational marijuana for voter ID when both bills should be a “no.”

You can effectively spread the word by posting your feedback on *their* social media channels. They are not permitted to remove comments on their official social-media channels.
