Republicans support a healthcare system that reduces costs and increases options, and one that diminishes an approach of “disease management” and dependence on big Pharma. Instead, they aim to investigate and address prevention by investigating underlying causes (e.g. food, environmental factors) that have caused an increase in chronic disease, and they will offer a more competitive free-market system to benefit consumers.
